This form is only to be used by students who wish to participate in an exchange program (Erasmus, Nordplus, other bilateral programmes and free movers) with NTNU (max. 12 months period).

Your application must include:
-a signed printout of the application
-Transcript of Records=information about previous and current university education (obligatory)
-a certified copy (please ask your university to stamp the copy) of your ID card/passport
- Free mover: confirmation from your home institution that your stay at NTNU is a part of your degree programme
Please send the application to:
International Office, NTNU, N-7491 Trondheim.

If you are already accepted by the Faculty or a professor at NTNU please mention the name of your supervisor in the form.
Deadlines:
Autumn term: 1.5.
Spring term: 1.10.

Courses are normally instructed in Norwegian. Textbooks and exams can in most cases be provided in English.
A good proficiency in English prior to your arrival is necessary (corresponding level B2, for more information click here).

Level 1 is only for exchange students on exchange of at least 9 months. Students on stays of at least 3 months can apply for the Short Course. Level 2 and 3 are intermediate and advanced courses, and require Norwegian Language skills. Please note that you are not guaranteed a place at the Norwegian for Foreigners course, even if you are admitted as an exchange student at NTNU. You will receive an answer about your application for the Norwegian course from the Admissions office in end of July.

With your signature you also confirm that you are able to communicate at an academic level in oral and written English.
